Description   back to top
Relax Alarm Clock Pro is the longest-running 3rd party alarm clock on the App Store. The latest version adds more capabilities and features than any other alarm clock available today for the iPhone or iPod Touch. We listen to our customers and it shows.

Relax Alarm Clock Pro is not only an alarm clock to wake up to, it is a relaxing "sound machine" that will soothe you to sleep at night as well. But wait, there is more! There is built-in weather information/forecast, you can wake up to songs from your iPod library, you can check current prices of your stocks with the built-in stocks ticker, and if you need a light in the middle of the night there is a built-in flashlight (for iPhone 4 only) which you turn on/off by simply shaking the device.

With full iOS4 support, you can set the alarm and then exit the app and the alarm will still sound. In fact, even if you completely reboot your iPhone/iPod Touch and never restart the app, the alarm for the next day will still sound. This will ensure that the alarm will sound every morning!

There are over 70 included sounds in the app. A few of the included sounds are:

•Forest Rain
•Beach Waves
•Wind Chimes
•Nightstand Alarm
•Acoustic Guitar
•Rooster
•Dream
•Birds in the City
•Thunderstorm
•Bamboo Flute
•Chinese Flute
•Latin Guitar

Helpful Tips:
You can swipe right-to-left across the clock screen to dim the clock. Swipe the opposite direction to brighten the clock.
You can tap on the alarm time in the top-right corner of the clock screen to immediately access the alarm times settings page.
You can tap on the alarm bell icon to turn on or off the alarm for the day shown.
You can set a timer for the Relax sound so that it won't run all night long. Go to the Relax page, select the sound you want to listen to, and then tap the "Settings" button. There you will find both the Relax timer and a separate volume control for Relax sounds.

Support:
If you have *any* problems with Relax Alarm Clock Pro, our support staff are waiting to help you resolve the problem. Please email us directly at support@mobileappcenter.com. As you will read in the app reviews, our support staff are top notch people and respond quickly to your questions and/or problems.

Technical Notes:
1. Don't worry, all incoming phone calls, reminders, and other notifications will still appear even with Relax Alarm Clock Pro running.
2. We recommend that you plug your iPhone/iPod Touch into a power source at night. However, if you must run on battery, please press the standby button (at the top of your device) to turn off the screen to save power.
3. The "play" button on the clock screen starts playing your last selected Relax sound. You can use this to immediately start playing your favorite relaxing sound to fall asleep to.
4. You must have iOS 3.0 or later to use Relax Alarm Clock Pro.
5. Only iPod Touch 2nd generation and iPhone 3G or later devices are supported.
6. You must leave the app running in the foreground (on devices that support background apps) in order for the built-in sounds to be used for the alarm sound. If the app is running in the background, you will hear a standard alarm beeping sound.

Customer Reviews from the AppStore   back to top
I use it every night! - 5 stars - November 2, 2009
I love this app. I have been using it since it came out. The updates are great bringing some visually appealing additions. The add ons are great too. I love being able to see the temperature at a quick glance. I also use the news ticker which is a nice feature as well. With the news ticker, if you click on a title it opens up the article within the program so that you don't have to leave your soothing sounds behind. The best part, however, is the customer service. Anytime I contact them they are quick to reply. I even heard back over the weekend. And it's not a quick one-liner reply. They listen to suggestions too. They are great. Thanks for a great app! -Joe H.
Still Great App - 5 stars - November 2, 2009
Even with having to purchase the extra upgrades this still deserves 5 stars. It is called relaxing alarm clock and that is all I wanted, I wasn't interested in waking up to my own music, but it is nice that I have the option to upgrade to it. I almost bought a Zen alarm clock for 100 bucks but when I saw this app I immediately purchased it and have not regret it since.
iPod problem - 2 stars - November 2, 2009
I just bought the new upgrade to be able to use my iTunes library and every time I select my music librarey in the relax mode and close out of the app. I go to my normal iPod app, the volume doesn't work. I have to shut down my phone for the volume work again. Please advise
Good But - 4 stars - November 1, 2009
this a very good app but you end up paying like $7 for this after upgrades
Best alarm app in the store - 5 stars - October 30, 2009
Updated Review: Yippee! U listened. Now I can wake up to my own songs or audio files :-) I just found out u can change the background to black like it used to be I don't know why others say this app is not working as it's been working flawlessly since I for it over a year and when I email the company for help they get back to me fast and are very helpful I am using the new major release software. I am happy to get what they give me in the pro version and I am also happyvto buy the add-ons ala carte as they have been offering free updates forever and just to be able to wake up to my iPod music library is worth 1.99. i would like to control the fade-in time If u are not using the os 3 or higher u should upgrade as this is normal with software. Software gets an update and u have to update your operating system I always keep mine up to date. All u have to do is connect to iTunes and run it I am using this with the latest iPhone software 3.2 on my 3G iPhone. Works perfectly. I even sleep the phone and put on charger so it's dark. I have been using this app for over a year and it is great. I have tried them all and this is the best hands down. I use this every morning It works great I woke up to a peaceful river sound, birds in the city, etc Very nice way to wake up to relaxing sounds My wife actually was fooled and thought the bird sounds were real and looked out to window to look for them. It made me laugh Make sure u put the phone on the charger I suggest the apple dock as that can keep the phone sitting on desk vertical and charged up. U can put the phone to sleep with app open and it will still work just make sure u turn the phone volume all the way up on the left side of phone b4 u go to bed in addition to the in app volume slider and the phone is not set to vibrate on the switch I love to record my own alarms within the app. I was on vacation and recorded rivers, streams, birds, waterfalls, heavy rain with birds etc. It worked great everytime and I wake up gently to soothing sounds. It only froze once when I tried to record a 5 minute rain storm. Not sure if that was a limitation of the program or a one time occurance. Will update this in the future when I test it I like waking up gently to soothing sounds rather than being woken abruptly. So far best alarm app in store I have been using this app for many months now and can say it's worth the price for the full version I love that I can hit the sleep button on top of the phone and it will still work with the screen black. That must be a recent update. I love that Once u wake up tranquil u don't wanna go back to the beeps. Peace out
