Emerald Time is for the truly time obsessed. This clock syncs with four different network servers to find the most accurate time and then gives it with the standard deviation. It also shows the server results and deviations. This clock is for the real time geek and is a steal.

The iPhone's clock is pretty accurate. But we think several WHOLE SECONDS of error is too much! Emerald Time will show you the right time, usually to within 100 milliseconds of the coordinated standard atomic clocks, using Network Time Protocol.

I love this app! - 5 stars - July 17, 2010
I have two clocks that I paid for that are not as good as this clock. It also does great on the iPad which is more than can be said for most iphone apps. Enough said, this app is great!

iPhones can automatically set their time, which I thought was obtained from the cell towers. I thought that was supposed to be accurate, but it's not. It's always off by 7-15 seconds from exact time. This drives me nuts. Of course, it shouldn't, but it does :-) At least I can pop open this app and get the exact time, and see how far off my phone is (that info is conveniently displayed in one of the windows in this app). Very nicely done. I just wish there was an option in the iPhone settings to allow this app to set my phone clock, but that's not possible yet. It's also handy to see UTC with one tap.

I sometimes need an accurate time source and recently noticed my iPhone clock drifting by 20 seconds. This app shows a time in agreement with my GPS and is great!
