Marple is a great logic puzzle game. It gives a number of clues to try to solve the pattern given. It has a bit of a learning curve, but once players understand the rules this game is addicting and challenging. 1,000,000 different puzzles are included, so don't plan on running out.

AWARDED "BEST PUZZLER" IN MACWORLD'S "THE BEST GAMES OF 2008"!

NOMINEE FOR "BEST PUZZLE GAME" IN "2008 BEST APP EVER AWARDS"!

RATED "BETTER" IN APPREVIEW!

Getting tired of Sudoku? Why not try Marple?

Marple is a game of logic and deduction. The playing field consists of 20 tiles arranged in 4 rows of 5 columns each and a set of clues. The goal of the game is to figure out the correct order of those 20 tiles using the given clues by process of elimination.

There are four different types of clues: "In between", "Left of", "Same column" and "Next to". "In between" clue tells that the middle tile has to be located in between the other two. It however does not tell the order of the other two tiles or how far they are from the middle one. "Left of" clue tells that the left tile has to be located left of the right tile. It however does not tell how far apart they are. "Same column" clue tells that the two tiles have to be on the same column. "Next to" clue tells that the two tiles are adjacent to each other. It however does not tell the order of the two tiles.

Features:
* 1,000,000 fiendishly clever puzzles to play so don't expect to run out of them any time soon! At 3 minutes / puzzle, 1 hour / day = ca. 137 years of puzzles!
* Auto-save game state when exiting application
* Hi-scores and gameplay statistics (total games played, total time spent, average time per puzzle)
* Hint system that highlights a clue that you should be concentrating on next
* Extended hint system that explains in detail what to do next
* Graphical help with beginner tips
* Gameplay assistants: Show warnings (warn when trying to eliminate a correct tile), Auto deduce (automatically deduce trivial tiles), Auto sort clues (sort clues based on their type), Give away two tiles (automatically solve two tiles)

This is by far the most addictive puzzle game on the App store - 5 stars - September 16, 2009
It keeps track of how long you have plaed it, and I am well past 15 hours of play.
One of my favorites! - 5 stars - September 8, 2009
I love this game! It is simply addicting once you learn to play. A little frustrating at first but read the introduction carefully and you'll get the hang of it. The only thing I would like to see improved is different difficulty levels.
Clever, addictive fun! - 5 stars - August 16, 2009
Marple is clever, addictive fun! You have to read the help/directions carefully, but once you get the hang of it, it is a fantastic quick brain-puzzle. At first I thought I would never break onto the high score board, but now all ten are mine!
Excellent! - 5 stars - August 8, 2009
This is one of the first games I picked up for my new iphone 3GS and I love it! The game is very challenging but anyone can learn quickly. It does take some concentration though so be forewarned. You'll have to pay attention to the clues and not get distracted. Anyone who enjoys Sudoku puzzles will love Marple too.
My Favorite Game! - 5 stars - May 5, 2009
Hard to believe, but I've played Marple more than 1,200 times. Since there are one million different games, I don't think I'll be running out any time soon. When I first started playing, it took me about 30 minutes to finish one of these puzzles. Now I usually can finish one in around 3 to 5 minutes, but just when I think I'm REALLY smart, along comes a difficult one and I'm at it for 10 minutes again. It's a great game that makes you think. Better than suduko. Different, colorful and good for your brain!
